If you are looking for scuba training, train with us. Others may offer cheaper training, but we take pride in offering some of the best training in the area.
Our class sizes are small and we provide nearly twice as much swimming pool training as others. You can expect at least three un-rushed pool sessions with us (some organizations offer as few as one).
Our instructors put in the extra effort for you and that is why we pay them extra wages.

Open Water
Course
At Discount Divers Supply, our classes are small (4-6) to ensure our students get above average attention from their instructor. Our courses are conducted by experienced, professional, and mature PADI instructors. Our instructors are, to the best of our knowledge, the highest paid staff instructors in our region. We hire only the best of instructors and you won't find us skimping or cutting corners on your training.
Learning to dive is much easier than you think. The
course begins with an academic program complete with text and interesting
audio-visual programs. From there you will progress to the pool training
where you will begin to learn about the skills and equipment necessary for
safe, enjoyable diving. When you are ready you will accompany your
instructor on a series of enjoyable and exciting open water dives. During
these skill development dives you will practice with the dive equipment
under the safety and guidance of our qualified Instruction
Staff.
The skill development dives are conducted at some of the most popular diving locations in the Pacific Northwest. During the open water training dives you will gradually develop the skills required for safe and enjoyable diving. Before you know it, you will be relaxed and comfortable. You too will be able to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world.

Beginning Open Water Diver Training
Open water training is the first step to exploration of the world beneath the sea. Our professional training staff will guide you through the course where you will gain knowledge and skills to remain safe and comfortable outside of a supervised environment. Our courses are in stages to suit your needs.
Academic Training: Each student is required to purchase a book and read and complete the sessions knowledge reviews prior to class. This type of home study is designed for today's busy lifestyles. The instructor will meet with the students to review and quiz assigned sessions (Approximately 1 hour). Additional requirements include watching the PADI Open Water DVD (loaned free of charge or come by the dive shop to watch at your leisure). It is the responsibility of each student to complete the assigned sessions and knowledge reviews before meeting with the instructor. Make sure you communicate with your instructor prior to your class sessions to understand what you are required to have completed for class.
Confined Water Sessions
We provide almost twice as much pool training as many others. This training is critical to provide you with a solid foundation. Multiple pool sessions are designed to teach you the skills necessary for you to be comfortable and safe in open water. You can expect approximately 8 hours pool training in low pressure multiple training sessions when you train with Discount Divers Supply.
All major equipment required to complete the Confined water and Open water sessions is provided free of
charge (limited to standard rental sizes/availability). The student is required to provide his/her own mask, fins,
snorkel, booties, and gloves.
Open Water Sessions
Open water sessions include: Four open water scuba dives with an optional fifth skin dive. An
Internationally recognized certification card is earned upon completion of the course.
