We have picked up 3 or 4 new types of safety vest recently. Call to get the latest word in vests. We carry them in various sizes (important for fit and floatation) from child's to large adult sizes.

READ THIS:

Why do you need a vest? Consider these reasons. They make you (or your loved ones) much more visible. Visibility is good if you are trying to find your partner/kids/loved ones when separated while snorkeling or encountering surf/waves (it happens).

Last time I was in Maui I had my son (he was 4??) wear one when he was playing at the waters edge. I puffed it up with air. Some 15 min later, an unusually big wave tumbled him and the only way I could tell where he was was because of the highly visible vest. Further more, the vest kept him from staying underwater where he may have drowned.

Another good reason: I hear the " I don't need one of those, I am a great swimmer" all the time. But what happens if you get out a little too far and the current picks up? Do you really want to have to swim for hours until you get rescued?

Or how about the "great" swimmer that brushed up against the jelly fish and went into shock and drowned after being stung? Those toxins can be nasty for some people. You could be fish bait real soon unless you flip over on your back and puff up your vest before you pass out.

Even if you don't have any regard for your own safety, you should pick up one each for the rest of your crew.

At $39 to $59 they are a lot cheaper than a funeral
