Green Force lighting systems are designed and manufactured by Leys Inc. in Belgium, which has half a century experience in design, constructing, and subcontracting spare components for offshore drilling, aircraft and nuclear industry.
Unlike any other lighting system, Green Force lighting systems are designed and manufactured according to the highest industrial standards, using the latest technologies and machinery available on the market. The most distinguishing feature over other systems is the unprecedented modular design.
Unmatched modularity
The connections on a Green Force system are identical (via Green Force Tri-O-Sys connection) and therefore interchangeable. This means that all batteries, light heads, umbilical and charging adaptors can be mixed and matched. Now divers have the ability to choose a battery pack with up to 13 amp hours of power, then pick a light head, from Halogen, LED, or HID. It's plain to see a system can be customized to the most demanding specifications or simply use the battery pack as a hand held with your choice of light head. The key word is "choice" and the benefit is that you can add to, or change the system at any time. It will never become obsolete.
Batteries
Green Force has been a leader in Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMh) battery technology. From the start Green Force was convinved that this was the future for underwater power supplies. NiMh offers a 50% higher capacity than lead acid technology and 45% more than Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) battery technology. NiMh is also more environmentally friendly because it contains no cadmium, mercury, lead, or lithium. Another major benefit is that NiMh has no memory effect from charging without full discharge. Green Force battery packs are smaller, lighter, and more efficient than manufacturers using other forms of battery technology.
Lighthheads and battery packs
The manuracturing process of Green Force light heads and battery packs gives them extreme strength. By using state of the art computer aided design (CAD) the light heads are machined from solid rods of high strength aluminum. The canisters are manufactured from a single bar of high strength aluminum or delrin for maximum integrity. A prioritized three step finishing process gives the aluminium canisters the renowned Green Force finish. This finish not only looks great but also has sealing and hardness characteristics that give them long life.
